1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Doolit LLC ("doolit," "we," "our," or "us") governing your use of the doolit mobile application and related services (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use doolit. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any account information you provide is accurate.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account. You may have only one account. Notify us at support@doolit.co if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. The doolit Service

doolit is a location-based discovery app: you explore your neighborhood to collect digital gems, earn points, badges, and rewards, and connect with local artists and their events. Features, rewards, and content may change, be suspended, or be discontinued at any time as we develop the App.

5. Points, Gems, and Virtual Items

(a) Points, gems, XP, badges, golden keys, boosts, streaks, and all other virtual items in doolit ("Virtual Items") are a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to features of the App — they are not money or property, have no cash value, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

(b) Virtual Items cannot be sold, traded, or transferred outside the App.

(c) We may adjust, reset, or remove Virtual Items at any time — including to fix errors, rebalance the in-app economy, or respond to suspected abuse. We are not liable for any loss of Virtual Items.

(d) Virtual Items are forfeited when your account is deleted or terminated.

6. Perks and Offers

doolit lets you redeem points for perks and offers provided by participating artists, venues, and businesses ("Partners"). Perks are fulfilled by Partners, not by doolit. We do not guarantee the availability, quality, or safety of any perk, and perks may have limited quantities, expiration dates, or conditions set by the Partner. Redemption codes are single-use and may not be resold. Any dispute about a perk is between you and the Partner, though you can contact us and we will try to help.

7. Location and Safety

doolit is played in the real world. Stay aware of your surroundings at all times. Do not use the App while driving or cycling; do not trespass on private property; do not enter unsafe areas to collect gems or attend events. You use the App at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for your conduct and safety while using it.

8. Fair Play

To keep the game fair for everyone, you agree not to:

falsify, spoof, or manipulate your device location;
use bots, scripts, automation, or modified versions of the App;
exploit bugs to gain points, gems, or rewards (report bugs to support@doolit.co instead);
access or interfere with our systems or data other than through the App's normal features;
create multiple accounts or share accounts to farm rewards.

We may investigate suspected violations and may remove Virtual Items, reverse redemptions, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts involved. Our detection systems may limit rewards automatically when activity looks abusive.

9. Your Content

You may add content to your profile — name, photo, bio, social media links, payment links — and, if you are an artist or Partner, create events and offers ("User Content"). You keep ownership of your User Content, but you grant doolit a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it within the App for as long as it remains on the service.

You agree your User Content will not include anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, deceptive, or infringing of others' rights; links to scams, malware, or illegal content; or other people's personal information without consent.

We may remove User Content or restrict accounts that violate these rules. Users can report objectionable content and events in the App; we review reports and take action, including removing content and banning offenders.

10. Artists and Partners

If you use doolit as an artist or Partner, you are additionally responsible for: the accuracy of your events and offers; honoring perks you publish (including quantities and conditions); and complying with laws applicable to your promotions. doolit may feature, moderate, hold, or remove events and offers at its discretion.

11. Payment Links Between Users

Profiles may display links to third-party payment platforms (such as Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal). Any payment made through those links is a transaction between you and that user on the third-party platform, subject to that platform's terms. doolit does not process, hold, or guarantee such payments and is not a party to those transactions.

12. Intellectual Property

The App — including its design, artwork, name, logo, and software — belongs to doolit or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose. Map data is provided by Google Maps and subject to Google's terms.

13. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services (including Firebase, Google Maps, and Apple and Google sign-in). We are not responsible for those services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms and policies.

14. Termination and Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account; deletion is permanent and forfeits all Virtual Items. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 5, 9, 12, and 15–17) survive.

15. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that gems, events, or perks will be available in your area.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, doolit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, Virtual Items, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the App — including any injury or loss occurring while you move through the real world using the App. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed fifty U.S. dollars (US $50).

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold doolit harmless from claims arising out of your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

18. Apple App Store

These Terms are between you and doolit, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms here and update the "Last Updated" date; material changes may also be announced in the App. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
